Job Description:
To expand our team we are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer.
The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with extensive travel throughout the Benelux & Germany mostly including overnight stays if necessary. The role will involve several opportunities to travel and visiting customer sites in combination with Orbis HQ in Dronten.
The service engineer’s role is varied but he or she in the main is responsible for the following key areas:
• Maintain, calibrate and repair our systems.
• Besides OrbisBV products, we also sell and service Tannas & King, this is also included in the job
• Providing customer training for our systems.
• Be in close contact with our sales team for possible opportunities.
• Is comfortable to work in a team or alone.
• Confident in basic English conversation. (German/Spanish are a bonus)
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Field Service Engineer, ideally degree educated in an appropriate discipline, alternatively an equivalent level of competency gained from experience in the field. Confidence in the replacement, maintenance, installation, and repair of small scale electrical/mechanical components. Interaction with our client’s customers is a key part of the role and as such the ideal candidate should have strong communication skills as well as have strong IT skills and be familiar with using the programs mostly used these days.
A basic knowledge of soldering & electronic components is also valuable, if not, a willingness to learn. Since mainly all of our machines are installed in laboratories, candidates should be prepared to work in such environments.
